Branding Yellow

It’s real easy to fall into the trappings of trying to name/brand/label the work that we are doing. How many hours have I spent thinking of the perfect name, ideal domain name, catchy tag-line vs the actual hard work of doing something meaningful/productive?
I don’t think Jesus spent even a minute on marketing the work he was doing. He simply did it. Did Mother Theresa or Ghandi invest in marketing? I doubt it.
Maybe the best form of marketing is the natural overflow of stories that come from the actual work itself. It’s a by product of the work.

Still loving the blog. It’s funny because there are passages where He healed people and told them NOT to tell. So He actually spent time counter marketing in a sense. John 5:13, luke 9:20-21 and more.
Yeah. Good point. I think there is something Divine in doing good in secret.
However, I do believe marketing/brand can help. Just can’t let it hinder you from doing the work.
Dude.. as an advertising guy this is something I constantly struggle with.
Great question..
I likes
bad marketting exists and so in response to that we work on good
branding and we try to think that we are loving or caring by working
on the advertising details…but we must 1st work on the “product” but
too many times the “product” suffers because more work went into the
branding and not vice versa
Just some thoughts
