POEM: “Prism”
Dec 22nd, 2009 by Sam Song
Prisms are a great reminder of the things unseen. This exercise of yellow has helped me to better understand the lens that God sees me through. For so many years, I have found my identity defined by the lens others have viewed me through. Some were pretty smudgy, others were cracked and the rest was blacked out. As I discover some of the hues God sees in me, there is a comfort and a peace that comes. We all have a multitude of beautiful colors being unleashed within us. We just have a hard time seeing it because we’ve been viewing it through the wrong lens. Check out God’s lens and let that free you to live out the dream God has planted within you.
Prism by Sam Song
Have you seen the multitude of hues?
The hues that make up the creation called you.
The colors each unique,
yet together, each so obsolete. What do you see?
Do you see them?
Or do you see me?Now look through the Glass.
The Glass God sees you through.
The perspective of the eternal.
The paradigm of the omniscient.
Through the eyes of all present.Do you see you?
The multitude of hues?
