Poem: “Silence”
Dec 13th, 2009 by Sam Song
Being in the Yellow, I started rediscovering my love for creative writing. I haven’t done it in so long, but this one just came out of my Soul. This is one of the false starts I’ve wrote about recently.
Lately, I have been writing using OMMWriter. It is a wonderfully simple tool to express your thoughts with as little distractions as possible. It rocks.
“Silence” by Sam Song
In silence my mind wanders,
to a place where trees grow freely.
Into a space I ponder,
my life so intentionally. In silence my body flows
down the stream of my thoughts.
My heart begins to slow,
as I travel where I not ought.A Tree.
A Stream.
The Forest.
The River.No fear consumes me.
Only mercy fills me.
A confidence builds within me.
Grace so wondrously free.

Sam, this is beautiful! You are unleashing beauty in so many ways in our community… I’m very thankful that our paths have crossed, and that I have the privilege of serving with you!
This poem leaves me with a peaceful, easy feeling. I think I’ll finally crash now, contemplating a river flowing with mercy and grace…
sam, i love the poem and your deep reflections. sheepdog
